From the Blogger Files: Cardamom Cookies

As I said earlier, for the past few weeks I’ve been reading, cooking, baking and eating my way through some wonderful food blogs. So I thought I’d share some of the recipes I’ve tried with you.

At the request of my friend, Frankenstein’s Bride, I’ll start with Cardamom Cookies. I found them over at the wonderful blog Bakingsheet–thank you Nic! I followed her recipe exactly–though I used a silpat lined baking sheet, my yield was slightly larger–more like 60 cookies– and took about 14 minutes to bake off.

I popped one into my mouth while still slightly warm and thought “Hmm. Pretty good.”

Tried one about 10 minutes later….and proceeded to eat about a dozen of them! (Good thing I make a pretty small cookie!) They were delicious.

They are a delightful, comforting presence in your mouth. And as Carolyn said, would go perfectly with a cup of Chai Tea. Do give them a try–especially as fall approaches, this is the spice palate you want to be working from.
